Planning a wedding is harder than some people give us women credit for. There is a lot more that goes in to it than appears. There is the obvious things like: Catering, Flowers, Venue, Colors, Cake, Dress, Bridesmaids, Invitations, Photography, Videography, etc. But what about the details that go into ALLLLLLLL of that. What kinds of flowers do you want? There are like a thousand different kinds! What colors go best? Do you want a sit down dinner? What food do you want served? What kind of desserts? From where? Where will the venue be? What logo will you choose? What theme do you want for your wedding so it all flows? Out of the million photographers in your area…which one is for you and fits your budget? There is so much that goes into planning and finding where to begin may be the hardest part. Some things I have learned so far in my wedding journey…
a. Your dress is going to take longer than you think, they probably have to order it in and alter it to make sure it fits you perfectly.
b. Guest list takes FOREVER. Start gathering addresses from the get go and organize them in an excel spread sheet. ( I recommend making a facebook page to invite the people you and your fiance are friends with, so so helpful)
c. Buy wedding magazines! They have so many fun ideas. Some bridal stores and bridal shows will give them to you for FREE!
and last,
d. Register for Bridal shows… even if you don’t book anything, you get so many great ideas, you see what is out there, and it gets you in the right mindset!
